CRTeacher Subscribers:

Have you had difficulty moving resources, activities, blocks, or topic sections within your courses? Do you miss the previous functionality that allowed you to manually move items using the arrow icons to 'move to here?'

The user profile field was that allowed users to disable AJAX was removed from Moodle beginning with 2.3.1+. However, a third-party module named 'Profile switches' has been created which allows users to once again turn off AJAX features within one's profile. This module has been uploaded and configured for use at CRTeacher. To turn off your AJAX features, login and:

  1. Click on your name in the upper right side of the screen.
  2. In the 'Settings' block, click on 'My profile settings>Edit profile'
  3. Now, in the 'Settings' block, you can click 'My profile settings>Turn ajax off'

You will now be able to move items around your course using the former non-AJAX method by clicking on the associated arrow icons.
